The "Casetta Rossa" formerly the property of Prince Hohenlohe, and Gabriele d'Annunzio's home during the 1915-1918 war. Canova had his studio here where, on his first works, he modelled "Dedalus and Icarus", (now in the Correr Civic Museum)which insured for him fame and fortune, for the Pisani family.
